Large obvara planters
Obvara is a very special technique from Eastern Europe. Work is taken from the kiln while its red hot, plunged into a mixture of yeast, flour, water and milk, then immediately rinsed in water. The process is incredibly fast and results in beautiful, mottled patterns of black and brown.
These planters are all hand thrown slightly off center to give each one a distinct character. They are trimmed by hand, glazed individually and each one has a distinct personality.
Measure appx. 5” across and 4.5” deep
