Small obvara planters

$45.00

Obvara is a very special technique from Eastern Europe. Work is taken from the kiln while its red hot, plunged into a mixture of yeast, flour, water and milk, then immediately rinsed in water. The process is incredibly fast and results in beautiful, mottled patterns of black and brown.

Each of these planters is thrown slightly off center to give each one a distinct character. They are then hand trimmed off the wheel and individually glazed. Imperfection is the goal. No two are alike.

These measure appx. 3” across by 3” deep.
